The Ultraman Festival, a must-go summer event that attracted over 4.7milllion visitors, is coming back to Sunshine City Ikebukuro. This year it will be the 28th Ultraman Festival to be held in Tokyo.

The announcement event for the festival was held on May 12 (sat), the on-sale date of the advance tickets for the Ultraman festival. The Japanese comedian, Bakushomondai (Hikaru Ota, Yuji Tanaka) was inaugurated as the official supporter and attended to the event in the Science Special Search Party costumes as the party’s special members. They appeared together with the 6 Ultraman Brothers (Ultraman, Ultra Seven, Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Taro, Zoffy) and Kaiju on the stage of Fountain Square.

Ultraman Festival 2018 will be held at Sunshine City Bunkakaikan building, Ikebukuro from July 20, 2018 (Fri) to August 27 (Mon) (the festival will be closed all day on August 7 (Tue)). Advance tickets will be on sale from May 12 (Sat).

2, Fascinating Ultra Live-Action Stage Show

At the Live-Action Stage Show, Ultra Heroes fight fierce battles with Kaiju.

The audiences will support the heroes with their radio control light “Ultra Flash”.

*The programs will be changed from the latter half term of the festival.

The highly popular advanced reservation front seat tickets are now on sale, with seats increased to approximately 220 seats (in the previous year there were about 120 front seats)!

3, Exhibition Areas etc.

This year, we have taken the exciting “Gigantic Battle Diorama” to a next level, with countless photo spots. Let’s slip into the world of Ultraman and take some pictures!

4, “Meet and Greet” with the Heroes, and Items Limited to the Festival

During the festival visitors can enjoy “Ultrashot”, an opportunity to take photos with the heroes at any time. They can also make their one and only original movie with “Narikiri Movie*”. Meanwhile, there will be an “Ultraman Department store”, where limited figures and other Ultraman related goods from all over the universe gather, and “Ultraman Ice-cream”, the tasty original ice-creams created in the image of everyone’s’ favorite heroes. Visit the Ultraman Festival and make splendid summer memories!

*Narikiri Movie= An original movie with the visitor act as the Ultraman and fight with Kaiju.

A special gift for all visitors!

All visitors will be given out a special card that could be used in “Data Carddass Ultraman Fusion Fight!”! The card is available only at the Ultraman Festival! The game can also be played with the devices set up at the festival.

*Please note that the number of special cards is limited.

*Free entry for children who are 2yearold and under. However, admission ticket is required if you need a seat for the Live-Action Stage Show.

*Reserved seat tickets for the Live-Action Stage Show will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis at the exchange window, next to the entrance.
