Tsuburaya Productions participated in New York Comic Con 2024, the largest comic convention on the East Coast, held in New York from October 17 to 20.

This event attracts over 200,000 attendees annually, making it a major gathering for anime and manga fans. Throughout the event, exciting announcements were made during the panel featuring a star-studded line-up of creators and actors, as well as interactive events, game demo sessions, and screenings, where Ultra Heroes connected with fans from around the world, highlighting the expanding global reach of the Ultraman brand and generating great excitement.

ULTRAMAN’S NEW UNIVERSE Panel

A large-scaled panel titled “Ultraman’s New Universe” brought together cast members and creators from various projects. The panel featured talk segments introducing the appeal of each work and project, along with an action-packed performance featuring the latest series Ultraman Arc, whose English dub version is currently available on the Ultraman Official English Channel on YouTube. The venue, packed with enthusiastic Ultraman fans, resonated with loud cheers and applause, creating an electric atmosphere throughout.

ULTRAMAN CARD GAME

Exciting new details about Ultraman Card Game, set for release worldwide including the U.S., were unveiled for the first time! It was announced that the English edition of the booster pack, scheduled for release in January 2025, will feature special variant art created by renowned Marvel artists.

At the panel event, Art Adams, the famous artist who illustrated the iconic Gomora, made a special appearance, sharing his deep love for the kaiju since his childhood and the passion he has poured into his artwork.

Additionally, Ultraman Card Game was further showcased at a special venue in Brooklyn, where fans participated in demo sessions and attended panels by artists and staff, hyping up the upcoming release.

Marvel Ultraman Projects

The Marvel Ultraman projects, ongoing since 2020, introduced the latest crossover stories featuring Ultraman and Marvel heroes, which have been unfolding since this summer.

The panel featured writers Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom, the creative minds behind the Marvel comic Ultraman × Avengers, alongside Shigenobu Matsumoto, writer of Shogakukan’s Ultraman: Along Came a Spider-Man in CoroCoro Comics.

The discussion highlighted the exciting collaboration between two iconic heroes, Ultraman and the Avengers, and offered intriguing insights into the different perspectives on heroes and justice from both Japanese and American creators. The session left the audience even more eager for the ongoing series.

Additionally, in celebration of Ultraman Zero‘s 15th anniversary, a special screening of Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial was held in Brooklyn. Fans also had the opportunity to meet Ultraman Zero at tourist attractions, department stores, and within the Comic Con venue, having memorable interactions with Ultra Heroes.
