Tsuburaya Productions Releases New “Communication Logo”
Tsuburaya Productions has released the “Communication Logo” with a logo design featuring the symbolic icon of Tsuburaya Productions, which has been the company’s emblem.
The icon was designed by optical photographer Minoru Nakano of the then newly-founded Tsuburaya Visual Effects Productions (now Tsuburaya Productions) under the request of the company’s founder Eiji Tsuburaya to design a company emblem. By connecting the Japanese Katakana character “ツ” (tsu) with a single line, the icon ascends with an upward trajectory to the upper right, resembling an airplane taking off high into the sky.
In his childhood, Eiji Tsuburaya was fond of airplanes, often climbing trees to look up at the sky and let his fantasies soar. After becoming a filmmaker, he continued to take on various challenges to create works that would bring joy and amazement to people, with the driving force being his power of imagination – his “Fantacreation.”
This icon (as well as the Communication Logo as a whole) represents the promise of Tsuburaya Productions to continue soaring forward, driven by the same “Fantacreation,” to deliver courage, hope, and kindness to people around the world through creative and innovative works, products, and services.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support for Tsuburaya Productions.
