On December 12, 2024, as a part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Ultraman Zero, Tsuburaya Productions announced the main voice cast for the English dub version of the three Ultraman Zero movies, featuring returning fan favorites as well as other established voice actors.

December 12, 2024, marks the 15th anniversary of Zero’s debut in the premiere of 2009’s Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie. Zero’s 15th anniversary has been celebrated worldwide by enthusiastic Ultra fans sharing their love for him and revisiting some of their favorite memories with Zero in the past 15 years.

The three Ultraman Zero movies — Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie (2009), Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial (2010), and Ultraman Saga (2012) depict Zero’s growth as a young hero, his encounters with various friends across universes, and his ever-intensifying rivalry with Ultraman Belial. The English dub versions will bring the story of Ultraman Zero to more audiences globally.

The English dubbing of the Ultraman Zero movies continues the successful collaboration of Tsuburaya Productions and OkraTron 5000 from Shin Ultraman, Ultraman Z, Ultraman Blazar, and this year’s Ultraman Arc ongoing weekly on the Ultraman Official English YouTube Channel

Sean Schemmel and Patrick Seitz Return as Zero and Belial

The voice casts of Ultraman Zero and his archnemesis Ultraman Belial are returning casts from the English dub of Ultraman Z

Sean Schemmel, who voiced Zero as the “master” to Z, the self-proclaimed disciple, in Ultraman Z, will now portray a younger Zero, who learns the meaning of power and protection via various encounters with friends across universes.

Patrick Seitz, who voiced Beliarok, the phantasmic magic sword, in Ultraman Z, will now portray Ultraman Belial, the evil Ultra who falls into the dark side after pursuing power.

My love of Ultraman goes back to early childhood. Living on a farm in the 70’s, we had only 3 tv channels, one of which had a block of Japanese TV shows, which included, Johnny Socko’s Flying Robot, The Space Giants, Speed Racer, and my personal favorite, Ultraman! I loved everything about Ultraman, especially his design and power moves, and the story elements and production were far more creative to me than what I was seeing on typical American kid’s TV shows at the time and I was gobsmacked! As an adult when I went to my first comic con (San Diego Comic Con) the very first thing I bought was an Ultraman action figure (which I have to this day and somehow the original batteries still work- 24 years later). So you can see how playing the role of Ultraman Zero has been very personal and thrilling for me, and for him to become a fan favorite is icing on the cake! Happy 15th Anniversary to Ultraman Zero and the entire Tsubaraya team! I look forward to helping to bring Ultraman Zero to life, and tell the fantastical stories that fill kid’s hearts with the same awe, wonder and excitement as Ultraman did for me on that farm so many years ago…

It’s been a pleasure returning to voice Belial in English again–and a very unique experience, to boot!  In Ultraman Z, Beliarok is powerful and full of opinions, but he’s in no position as a sentient sword to go out and pursue the same sort of full-bore villainy we see him working towards in the Ultraman Zero trilogy.  There, his evil is sharper and more vicious, since he hasn’t been defeated yet.  Thanks to the order in which we dubbed them, I got to experience the defeated but unbowed version of Belial first–then go back in time, so to speak, and experience him at the height of his powers.

As Ultraman Zero’s first English voice actor, never in 20,000 years did I think I’d return to my favorite Ultraman film in a whole new role. For nearly 10 years now, the Land of Light has been near to my heart, and it’s an absolute privilege every time I return to it. It’s my honor to share Rei (and Reimon!) with talent as esteemed as Shota Minami and Hideyoshi Iwata. I hope everyone enjoys this new era of Ultra — I truly believe it’s the best time to be an Ultraman fan yet. Happy anniversary, Zero!

Mirai Hibino / Ultraman Mebius: Ben Balmaceda

Ben Balmaceda will voice Mirai Hibino / Ultraman Mebius, the young Ultra from Nebula M78.

I’m deeply honored and hyped to be the voice of Ultraman Mebius! I was always aware of Ultraman growing up, but I never watched any of the shows or really immersed myself in its world until I assisted in the production of Ultraman Z’s English dub. When that happened, I was immediately hooked to the series and I’ve become a huge fan! I recognize that Mebius in particular has a passionate following in the Ultraman community; I’ll do my best to preserve that legacy and stand tall alongside the other Ultras and members of the cast. Thank you so much, and enjoy the film!

Dan Moroboshi / Ultraseven: Chris Sabat

Chris Sabat will voice Dan Moroboshi / Ultraseven, one of the Ultra Brothers and Zero’s father.

It’s truly an honor to be part of the Ultraman legacy and to have the chance to lend my voice to such the iconic Ultraseven!  Being part of a project that has inspired generations of fans around the world is both humbling and incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful to have a small role in bringing these amazing stories to life.  By the way, I also just found out that Ultraseven was the inspiration for Kid Chi-Chi’s helmet in Dragon Ball!  What a coincidence!

Happy birthday, Ultraman Zero! Here’s to another year of saving the universe with power and pizazz! You’re the definition of a timeless hero, and the galaxy wouldn’t be the same without you. Wishing you more epic adventures and shining moments ahead!  Oh, and hey — don’t forget to call your Dad sometimes!

Glenfire: Alejandro Saab

Alejandro Saab will voice Glenfire, the free-spirited warrior with a soul of burning magma.

Ultraman was one of the first characters I can remember getting excited about as a kid! It was my first taste of Japanese media that has become such a huge part of my life. So getting to be a small part of this huge franchise that is loved by so many people is kind of a dream come true.

Jean-Bot: Jonah Scott

Jonah Scott will voice Jean-Bot, the warrior of steel who was in the service of the royal family of Esmeralda.

Shin Asuka / Ultraman Dyna: Ryan Negron

Ryan Negron will voice Shin Asuka / Ultraman Dyna, the Ultra Hero who defended Earth alongside Super GUTS with his type-changing abilities and never-surrendering willpower.

It has been an absolute joy and honor to provide the English voice for Ultraman Dyna/Shin Asuka! Ultraman holds a very special place in my heart as my father watched the original series when he was younger and he showed it to me when I was a kid. I connect so much with Shin and I hope you all fall in love with him as much as I have!

Musashi Haruno / Ultraman Cosmos: Bryson Baugus

Bryson Baugus will voice Musashi Haruno / Ultraman Cosmos, the Warrior of Kindness who combines gentleness with strength, love with bravery.

<Comments from Bryson Baugus>

Getting to work on the production end of the live-action Ultraman series over the past couple of years has been an amazing experience, and these films are no exception! However, I’m even more ecstatic to be joining the Ultra ranks as the English voice of Musashi/Ultraman Cosmos! Ever since being introduced to the series, it’s been kind of a secret hope of mine to be able to play one of the Ultras, and I’m so happy that opportunity has arisen!

These films are just so much fun and I can’t wait to see everyone’s hard work put together in this release! I’m sure fans new and old are going to love them!
