We are excited to host the Ultra League US Open at GenCon on Saturday August 2, 2025! GenCon will take place from July 31 to August 3 at the Indiana Convention Center. This marks our first major Ultra League Open tournament in the United States, and we look forward to welcoming players from across the country.

The Ultraman Card Game (UCG) released globally October 25, 2024, with simultaneous production in four languages—Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese with Korean following later—across 23 regions. Since its launch, UCG has continued to grow worldwide through conventions and store support, with a growing number of communities across 27 states in the USA. (List of UCG stores in the USA)

There will be two US Open tournaments; a constructed format and a sealed format.

Ultra League US Open at GenCon: Constructed

• Date&time: August 2 (Sat) 12:00PM
• Venue: Indiana Convention Center (100 S Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225) *Specific place will be announced shortly.

• Environment: All existing cards and SD03, but not BP04, since this event is only a day after the release date of BP04.

■Prize of US Open: Constructed 

The upcoming Ultra League US Open promises high-level competition and exclusive rewards. Below is a detailed breakdown of the prizes available for participants and the top-ranking players:

Participation Award:

All participants will receive PR-108, the limited edition promo card “The day the end of the world begins”. 

Top 8 Award:

Players who place in the Top 8 will receive both PR-108 and PR-109.

PR-109 features the “WINNER” logo. 

Top 4 Award:

The Top 4 players will be awarded PR-108, PR-109, and an exclusive Ultra League Playmat. 

Champion’s Prize:

The tournament winner will receive the complete prize package: 

PR-108, PR-109, the Ultra League Playmat, and PR-110.

PR-110 is a special version of “The day the end of the world begins” with the “CHAMPION” logo.

■Format

• 2 Deck Bo3 format (the rule of 2 Deck Bo3 format will be announced shortly)
• Swiss Rounds, followed by a Top 8 Cut
• *Round Robin in the event of lower amount of players
• At the end of each game, the loser may decide the first lead player in the next game.

*Players can use any cards which would have been released by the time of the tournament except BP4.  

*Use of duplicated cards or other non-official cards is prohibited. 

*Transparent sleeves should not be used at this event. Card sleeves can be used up to 2 layers.

*Change of deck during the event is prohibited.

*If you have any questions about the rules, please raise your hand and ask the staff at the store for a ruling, and follow that ruling. Please take note that if you continue with the match as it is, you will not be able to receive a correct ruling.

*In the event that the tournament cannot be held due to there being only one participant, a participant prize will still be distributed.
