On July 5, 2025, the “Journey of Chasing the Light: Looking Ahead to Ultraman’s 60th Anniversary” exhibition, an exceptionally large-scale and high-standard Ultraman series themed event for mainland China, will open at Shanghai New World City. This exhibition is officially authorized and fully supervised by Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. and its official licensees in Shanghai, and is co-hosted by Tornado Studio and artist Tango.

Spanning nearly 3,000 square meters, the exhibition will feature hundreds of rare Tsuburaya exhibits making their first overseas appearance, along with numerous interactive installations designed to transform the Ultraman light in your heart into a tangible reality. Visitors will have the opportunity to see unique filming props, rare characters, and invaluable production materials, including illustrations and design drafts by designer Hiroshi Maruyama, known for his design works in multiple Ultraman series in the Heisei era, led by Ultraman Tiga. Creative displays such as VR interactive devices, intricate miniature dioramas, and giant sculptures will also be present, promising an unforgettable experience for all Ultraman enthusiasts. The journey of chasing the light is about to slowly unfold at this very moment.
