Ultra Series 60th Anniversary Project Begins
Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masayuki Nagatake) announced today, on July 10th, “Ultraman Day” (registered with the Japan Anniversary Association), the launch of the “Ultra Series 60th Anniversary Project.”
This project will run for approximately two and a half years starting from July 2025. It aims to convey the enduring appeal of Ultraman by exploring the profound stories and universal themes within each series.
About “Ultra Series 60th Anniversary Project”
On July 10, 1966, Ultraman first appeared on television. Since then, the Ultra series has been alongside us, touching our hearts and delivering messages of “Courage”, “Hope”, and “Kindness”. In 2026, the Ultra series will celebrate its 60th anniversary since its initial broadcast.
To mark this historic milestone, Tsuburaya Productions will launch the “Ultra Series 60th Anniversary Project.” This project aims to bring the series’ charm to both long-time fans and those who have yet to discover Ultraman.
Spanning approximately two and a half years, this project will create opportunities for everyone to feel Ultraman’s presence through various touchpoints. These include a new 60th-anniversary TV series, thrilling live stage shows, immersive digital content that lets you dive into the Ultra series anytime, anywhere, and a range of appealing merchandise and goods to brighten your daily life.
Through the profound stories and universal themes found in each series, Tsuburaya Productions aim for Ultraman to continue being a beloved presence that transcends generations and global borders for years to come.
Ultraman 60th Anniversary Project PV
“With U” – Ultraman will always be by your side
When we stand at a crossroads in life, facing seemingly insurmountable difficulties, a “Giant of Light” from our distant memories might just come to mind. Ultraman has never been out of reach; he’s always quietly stayed by our side, walking with each and every one of us.
This is why “with U” has been chosen as the core message for this project. This message carries two meanings: one is “with You,” and the other is “with Ultraman.” Our hope is that Ultraman will continue to be a source of strength and a companion in forging the future, just as he always has been. We also want to convey our wish that people’s daily lives become even more vibrant and full of light.
60th Anniversary Logo – Brand Promise that conveys inherited “Courage, Hope, and Kindness”
The Ultra series has consistently conveyed universal messages that remain unchanged. These are the three core themes: “Courage” to face difficulties, “Hope” to believe in a better future, and “Kindness” to live in harmony with others.
The messages of “Courage, Hope, and Kindness” are also reflected in the anniversary logo created to commemorate the 60th anniversary.
The three twinkling stars at the center of the logo symbolize “Courage, Hope, and Kindness.” The silhouette of Ultraman soaring from the number “60” represents his flight towards a future filled with hope.
Through the message in this logo, the project aims to develop initiatives that will connect people across generations and global borders, fostering positive feelings and precious bonds.
Smartphone Game App “Ultraman Puzzle Shuwatch!!”
“Ultraman Puzzle Shuwatch” is a new smartphone game app that features the Ultra series (co-developed by Metafield Inc. and Studio Inc., both subsidiaries of Tsuburaya Fields Holdings Group). This title is designed to appeal to a broad demographic, featuring Ultra Heroes and Kaiju from the Showa through the Reiwa eras. The game system utilizes a “match-3 puzzle” format, which combines straightforward controls with strategic depth, making it accessible to all players.
Furthermore, “Ultraman Puzzle Shuwatch!!” is scheduled for simultaneous distribution not only within Japan but also globally (excluding mainland China and EU member states) aiming to maximize excitement by engaging Ultraman fans worldwide.

#MyUltramanMemory Social Media Campaign from August 2025
A social media campaign that seeks heartwarming Ultraman memories, first impressions of the series, and recollections with family and friends.
Experiences with the franchise’s works, merchandise, or events can be shared through text, photos, or fan art, submitted with the hashtag #MyUltramanMemory. A selection of these submissions will be featured on the official website, social media channels, and at various events.
In appreciation for the long-standing affection from many fans, participants submitting entries will be entered into a prize drawing.
The campaign is scheduled to run from early August to the end of August 2025. Further details regarding specific campaign dates, submission themes, and prize contents is to be announced.
