The Great American Pastime and Japan’s Popular Superhero Collide for Epic Fun-Filled Activations, From First Pitch Ceremony and Fan Cam Challenges, to Photo Ops, Meet and Greets, and More

Tsuburaya Productions, in partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, announced that Japan’s most beloved superhero, Ultraman, is making his way to Dodger Stadium on August 26th for a special in-stadium event that baseball lovers, families, and pop culture fans will not want to miss.

The event will kick off with a pre-game photo opportunity in CenterField Plaza, where fans can meet Ultraman in person and capture the intergalactic moment.  Baseball will meet superhero action when Chairman of Tsuburaya Fields Holdings, Hidetoshi Yamamoto, takes the mound along with Ultraman and Alien Baltan, to throw the ceremonial first pitch.  Fans can expect special themed entertainment throughout the game, such as a themed Ultraman Fan Cam, which invites fans to demonstrate their best Ultraman poses on the DodgerVision screens.

A 130 foot tall red and silver Giant of Light, Ultraman came to Earth from another galaxy to protect humanity from invading aliens and giant monsters called Kaiju. The Ultraman Universe first debuted in 1966 with the launch of the television series Ultra Q. For more than half a century, the Ultraman franchise has spawned a record number of TV shows, films, video games, and more.
