TSUBURAYA PRODUCTIONS CO., LTD (Head office: Shibuya, Tokyo / President: Takayuki Tsukagoshi) and FIELDS CORPORATION (Head office: Shibuya, Tokyo / Chairman, President and Group CEO: Hidetoshi Yamamoto) will release the new anime “ULTRAMAN” on Netflix from spring 2019.

The comic “ULTRAMAN”, which has been made into a series on the HERO’S monthly magazine (Author: Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi), will be produced in full 3DCG animation. The anime “ULTRAMAN” was introduced as one of the featured animations in the Anime Expo 2018 Netflix panel, held in Los Angeles on July 5^th, 2018. Through this event, anime “ULTRAMAN” attracted attentions from all over the world.

After half a century from the launch of the first live-action ULTRAMAN, the anime “ULTRAMAN” will finally step into a new level. Make sure not to miss it!

Worldwide Release on Netflix from Spring 2019!

Kenji Kamiyama, known for directing Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Ancien and the Magic Tablet, will team up with Shinji Aramaki, the director of APPLESEED and Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars, will be co-directing this series. Production I.G. and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS will work together as the production team.

The main Ultraman, with a physical appearance distinct from all previous series, will be made into a 3DCG animation series by the hands of a group of globally acting extraordinary staff.

Kenji Kamiyama

Born on March 20^th, 1966 in Saitama, Japan.

He started his career as an art staff at Studio Fuga in 1985. After participating in the production of JIN-ROH, BLOOD THE LAST VAMPIRE and other works, he made his directorial debut with MINIPATO. After that, he assumed a role as director and story editor in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series, which became a massive hit worldwide.

Shinji Aramaki

Born on October 2^nd, 1960 in Fukuoka, Japan.

He has created many CG works and is known as a leading expert in 3DCG animation in Japan.

His works mainly centered around Mechanic designs, and his directed work APPLESEED made a big impact on creators all over the world.

Comic “ULTRAMAN” Vol.12 Goes on Sale July 5^th!  

Limited Edition with Ultraman Figure to be Released at the Same Time!

In “ULTRAMAN”, Ultraman was drawn as a human-sized hero who fights in a metallic Ultraman suit. Shinjiro Hayata, a high school student who inherited the gene of Ultraman from his father Shin Hayata, is the protagonist who becomes Ultraman. This comic became a big seller and its total circulation from vol.1 to vol.12 has reached more than 2.8 million copies.

Very First Plastic Model of anime “ULTRAMAN” Coming Soon!

Plastic model of anime “ULTRAMAN” will be released from Kotobukiya.

The announcement on the production of the plastic model was made at the Kotobukiya booth in the Anime Expo 2018, held at Los Angeles.

The plastic model is approximately 16cm tall, and is under development to incorporate various fascinating gimmicks. It will be displayed in the Kotobukiya booth at the Wonder Festival 2018, held at Makuhari Messe on July 29^th (Sun).
