The ULTRA LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026, the first-ever official world championship for the ULTRAMAN CARD GAME, was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, where the inaugural champion was crowned. 

 

First UCG World Champion Crowned

 

This tournament was held to determine the number one Ultraman Card Game player in the world.

Players who achieved outstanding results in regional qualifiers held around the globe gathered in Japan to compete for the honor of being named the world’s top Ultra Leaguer. 8 Ultra Leaguers who survived the fierce battles at the venue advanced to the final tournament.

 

 

In a best-of-three final showdown between S.K 反黑路人甲 from Mainland China, and AA79 from South Korea. S.K 反黑路人甲 showcased incredible strength, winning two consecutive games to claim the title of the first-ever world champion.

Champion S.K 反黑路人甲 was awarded a special trophy featuring an Ultra Hero design, a one-of-a-kind Ultraman Blazar special card that only the champion can possess, and an uncut sheet of the Limited Pack 01.

 

 

 Runner-up AA79 and third-place finisher KinG were also presented with trophies to honor their achievements.

Event Highlights

World Championship Opening Ceremony

Ultra Heroes arrived at the opening ceremony to cheer on the Ultra Leaguers competing for the world title. First, Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Belial, symbolizing the ultimate rivalry, made their appearance. 

 

 

Following them, Ultraman Blazar offered a prayer pose to wish the competitors good luck. 

 

 

Finally, Ultraman Taiga appeared, and the tournament began as the players joined him in chanting “Ultra League! Buddy Go!”

 

 

ULTRAMAN CARD GAME Latest Announcement

 

Ultra Leaguers in attendance were the first to receive the latest updates regarding the Ultraman Card Game. It was announced that Booster Pack 08: “Converging Bonds” will be released on Ultraman Day on Friday, July 10. 

Centered on the theme of bonds, this set features Ultra Heroes who have powered up through fusion. Tremendous cheers erupted from the crowd each time a new hero was revealed.

Furthermore, Ultraman Gingavictory, Ultraman Ruebe, Ultraman Taiga Tri-Strium, and the newest hero, Ultraman Teo, made live appearances to create a special moment for the fans.

 

 

Closing Ceremony Features Riku, Sorato, and Ultra Heroes

 

The closing ceremony featured the trophy presentation for champion S.K 反黑路人甲, runner-up AA79, and third-place winner KinG. 

 

 

Just as the tournament seemed to reach its peaceful conclusion, Alien Zetton suddenly stormed the venue! He declared the start of a “Galaxy Championship” and summoned Zetton, the space dinosaur.

 

 

As the venue fell into an uproar, Riku Asakura (played by Tatsuomi Hamada) and Sorato Okida (played by Shori Kondo) rushed to the scene and transformed! 

 

 

Ultraman Geed and Ultraman Omega fought bravely to protect the Ultra Leaguers. However, the overwhelming power of Zetton—famed for having defeated Ultraman—left the heroes in a difficult struggle.

 

 

To save the Ultra Heroes from this crisis, MC Sean Nichols called upon the audience to send power by holding up their favorite cards, resulting in a massive gathering of energy! With this support, Geed and Omega successfully repelled Zetton and restored peace. 

 

 

The Ultra League World Championship 2026 concluded with everyone in the hall chanting “Ultra League! Buddy Go!”
